The iconic Ritz Ballroom on Whitworth Street was built in the 1920s and has played an important part in Manchester's unrivalled musical history.
The venue will close in May 2011 to undergo a full £2m refurbishment, including the restoration of original architectural features, extensive sound-proofing, and the installation of state-of-the-art sound and lighting.
The HMV Ritz will re-open in September 2011 with a high-quality eclectic and vibrant programme of live music, club nights, and special events across all genres of entertainment.
