Whether you drop in for a coffee and snack, meet friends for lunch, want to see the free exhibition or fancy dinner and a show there are lots of reasons why you should visit Howden Park Centre, Livingston.
West Lothian's newest centre for arts performances, events and activities has been transformed to designs by internationally acclaimed architects Nicoll Russell Studios. The redevelopment was funded by West Lothian Council and a Scottish Arts Council Capital Lottery Grant. It has produced a stunning building with a new rich red 296 seat auditorium at its heart, a gallery, art studio, pottery and several muti-function rooms as well as a stylish, modern bistro. Managed by West Lothian Council's Community Arts team, the venue offers a continuous programme of professional arts performances, exhibitions, classes and events. It is also the new base for the staff and members of Firefly Arts (formerly West Lothian Youth Theatre). Use this link to the Firefly Arts website for more information on the organisation and its programme of workshops.
The auditorium and multi-functional spaces can be hired for a variety of community and social events including weddings, performances and celebrations. More images of the building can be found on our Venue Hire page.
