Santana have cancelled their whole European tour including shows in Glasgow, London and Dublin later this month because of coronavirus concerns.
Guitar legend Carlos Santana and his eponymous band were due to open the European tour on the 14th March in Bologna, Italy and continue at Hallenstadion Zurich the following day. Both these shows were previously cancelled last week.
Now, President of Universal Tone Management, Michael Vrionis, has confirmed in a statement that the whole European leg of the Miraculous 2020 World Tour has been axed.
“It is with great disappointment that I have to inform our fans that we are canceling our upcoming Europe Tour,” Vrionis said.
“Many countries have made the decision to restrict public gatherings in excess of 1,000 people to curb the potential spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
“While we deeply regret this unfortunate circumstance, the safety of our fans is the main priority for the Santana Organization. We will keep you all informed of new performance dates as they are made and will make every effort to return to Europe soon.”
Santana were due to play Glasgow The SSE Hydro on Thursday 26th March and London’s The O2 on Friday 27th March before playing Dublin’s 3Arena on Sunday 29th March.
Refunds will be made available from the point of purchase.
