Huntington Beach metallers Avenged Sevenfold have premiered their cover of Pink Floyd’s seminal song ‘Wish You Were Here’.

The Download Festival 2014 headliners’ take on Roger Waters and David Gilmour’s 1975 track is accompanied by a black & white video melding behind-the-scenes footage with clips of the band performing live at stadia across North America this summer.

Alongside Gojira and Volbeat they supported Metallica at 25 outdoor shows from April through to August. Watch the video here:

‘Wish You Were Here’ is the seventh and final song Avenged Sevenfold have unveiled from their expanded digital version of their seventh studio album ‘The Stage’.

The band kicked off proceedings with a version of the traditional Mexican folk song ‘Malagueña Salerosa’ in June before unveiling a cover of Mr. Bungle's ‘Retrovertigo’ three weeks later.

Original Avenged Sevenfold composition ‘Dose’ debuted in July, with a cover of Del Shannon’s ‘Runaway’ and The Beach Boys’ ‘God Only Knows’ released in August and a version of The Rolling Stones’ ‘As Tears Go By’ following in September.
