Iron Maiden will continue their phenomenally successful Legacy of the Beast Tour into 2020 with dozens more shows.

In late September, the metal legends announced two headline UK festival shows for summer 2020 - Download Festival on Friday 12th June and Belsonic at Ormeau Park in Belfast on Monday 15th June.

Since the early hours of this morning (7th November), Iron Maiden have been drip-feeding new 2020 tour dates to their legions of fans on social media.

Maiden have confirmed their first 2020 shows will take place in Australia and New Zealand in May where they will be joined by Killswitch Engage for six arena shows.

Following this, they play a trio of arena dates in Japan and Pulp Summer Slam festival in the Philippines, before hitting Dubai and Tel Aviv in Israel at the end of the month.

Throughout June and July, Iron Maiden return to mainland Europe for a series of headline festival slots, and arena and gargantuan stadium shows. Countries visited are Finland, Germany, UK, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Holland, France, Austria, Italy, Portugal and Spain.

Support acts over the huge European summer trek include Disturbed, Airbourne, Alter Bridge, Within Temptation, Lord of the Lost and Avatar.

Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson says: “We’ve had a fantastic time on the Legacy tour so far, and the reaction everywhere to the stage show and all the crazy props (and Eddie!) I get to play with has been phenomenal.

“The whole band has been having such fun we’re really excited to bring this production back out on the road next year.”

The Legacy of the Beast Tour opened in Tallinn, Estonia on 26th May 2018 and initially consisted of 38 European shows throughout that summer – including seven in the UK.

The tour was extended into 2019 with further international shows in North America and South America from July until October.

The Legacy Of The Beast World Tour is inspired by Iron Maiden’s comic book and mobile phone game of the same name, and, in keeping with this, the stage set design features a number of different but interlocking ‘worlds’.

The set-list on the 2018 and 2019 dates was as follows:

1. Aces High
2. Where Eagles Dare
3. 2 Minutes to Midnight
4. The Clansman
5. The Trooper
6. Revelations
7. For the Greater Good of God
8. The Wicker Man
9. Sign of the Cross
10. Flight of Icarus
11. Fear of the Dark
12. Iron Maiden
13. The Number of the Beast

14. The Evil That Men Do
15. Hallowed Be Thy Name
16. Run to the Hills
