Venue: Newcastle Anarchy Brew

“CATs in SPACE: THE UNDISPUTED KINGS OF BRITISH CLASSIC ROCK RETURN WITH A BRAND-NEW ALBUM AND ALL NEW LINE-UP THAT IS PRIMED AND READY FOR THE NEXT DECADE!”
UK rockers CATs in SPACE return with an all-new line-up, armed with their new seventh studio album; their biggest, boldest and toughest piece of work in their ten-year history to date.
To celebrate this release, they will be playing two exclusive live launch shows, loaded up with many of their classic tracks alongside songs from the new album.
The original band members, comprising ‘War of the Worlds’ vocalist Damien Edwards, guitarist Greg Hart, drummer Steevi Bacon and keyboard wizard Andy Stewart will be joined by Tyketto/Thunder bassman Chris Childs, and Black Star Riders/Uriah Heep string-slinger Sam Wood.
With the last three CATs in SPACE album releases all hitting number one in the UK rock charts, and record label Cherry Red/Esoteric pushing the band’s last album Time Machine to the band’s highest sales level to date, they enter a new era confident that the new album will once again affirm their status as one of the finest UK bands to emerge this century.
Their bombastic yet textured musical delivery and the obligatory visual spectacle of the CATs in SPACE live show remains quite simply, a ticket not to miss.
“We are beyond excited with the new album. We have a new look line-up and a more focussed rock sound this time around. With all the visual imagery and majesty of our new songs along with the concept behind it all, we feel that we will be putting a new, yet familiar foot forward, capable of capturing the imagination of any rock fan, young or old.
With this album we have delivered a sonic landscape on a much larger scale than on any previous output – we’re very excited to unveil what we see as a veritable ‘Medieval Banquet of Rock’” - Greg Hart
