Friends from an early age, Gomez formed at university. Blending a love of indie rock with blues and country styles, the band's roots-driven sound quickly found favour with the record labels and a bidding war erupted.
With good reason, it was to transpire. Recorded in a garage, debut album 'Bring It On' scooped the Mercury Music Prize catapulting the band to stardom. Soon Gomez were household names, capable of filling out some of the nation's biggest venues.
