Peter Green & Friends, Farnham

(featuring Peter Green)

Venue: Farnham Maltings

At the age of 19, Peter Green replaced Eric Clapton in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, and then went on to start one of the most successful bands in rock history - Fleetwood Mac. Now, after several years out of the public eye, during which time his playing finesse has been cited by the likes of BB King and Carlos Santana, he's back with a new band - Peter Green & Friends.

Band leader, Mike Dodd has brought together a cracking group of musicians:

Keyboard ace Geraint Watkins (Van Morrrison, Nick Lowe, Bill Wyman), the cool stand-up bass of Matt Radford (Peter Molinari, Nick Lowe) and the blues-driven grooves of drummer and Andalucian resident Andrew Flude, plus the chunky rhythm guitar of Mike Dodd. But Green remains centre stage, in the company of notably simpatico musicians and his guitar and voice are shining once again.
