Jace Everett
Jace Everett found huge fame writing the hit TV theme song 'Bad Things' for the Vampire big sceen smash True Blood, he combines the depth of traditional country song writing with a fusion of powerful rock. Born in Evansville, Ind. and growing up in Texas, he paid his dues playing bass for other artists. To keep the bills paid, he also worked as a ditch digger, truck washer, dump truck driver, and fork/bobcat operator. Everett cites Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings as his greatest influences and has written songs for some of today’s top country artists.
"Lucky beats smart," he says of his budding career. "It's ridiculous--I was very, very lucky. [In Nashville] the really lucky ones are the ones who get to put a record out. I'm definitely one of them." He'll also continue to rejoice in the honesty that is country music. "This is all real," he says of his album. "There's no bullsh*t."
