Guitarist Richard Drummie and vocalist Peter Cox formed the duo Go West. Backed by the likes of Austrian keyboardist/producer Peter Wolf and a cast of West Coast studio musicians, they've produced several albums of high energy dance pop. Although their 1985 debut was a polished set that produced two Top 40 singles ("We Close Our Eyes" and "Don't Look Down"), their biggest hit was "King of Wishful Thinking" from the Pretty Woman soundtrack.

Dick Gaughan has many and various influences. In his guitar playing one can detect the influence of Big Bill Broonzy and Bert Jansch, but he also claims to have been influenced by musicians as diverse as Hank Williams and Neil Young. His powerful songs have been recorded by Billy Bragg, Mary Black and Capercaillie amongst many others. He has also recorded extensively as a session musician.

In the early '90s, Dick Gaughan joined Davy Steele of the Battlefield Band, together with other musicians to form Clan Alba. They released one self-titled album in 1995.

In 2002 he released Prentice Piece, a self-selected thirty-year retrospective of his career (although some material could not be included due to copyright disputes). His latest CD, Lucky For Some, was released in April 2006.

In 1983 Dick Gaughan was the subject of a BBC Spectrum documentary entitled Gaughan, and in 2005 a further documentary entitled A Different Kind of Love Song formed part of the BBC Four Sessions series.

Sensational Alex Harvey Band

In the early 70s, SAHB released eight albums and toured almost constantly gaining a reputation as the best live band in the UK and at one point were the biggest-grossing live act in the country. Alex quit the band in 1977, continuing to tour as New Alex Harvey Band. Eventually his hard livin' lifestyle caught up with him and he suffered a heart attack and died at the end of a European tour in 1982. Over 20 years on, the SAHB are in the studio and back on the road with new vocalists Max Maxwell filling Alex's unfillable boots, and bringing the delights of Faith Healer, Delilah and Framed to a new generation.
