Sheffield, The Boardwalk
THE SGT PEPPER 40th ANNIVERSARY SHOW
Top Beatles band “Sgt Pepper’s Only Dart Board Band” will perform the legendary and groundbreaking  “Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” album on their return visit to the Boardwalk as part of their UK tour.   The original album released in 1967 was considered to be the most innovative and trend setting album of its time.    For what is a first for a Beatles tribute in this country, the band performs the entire Sgt Pepper album and all instrumentation completely live.
The second half of the show will see the band perform a greatest hits set incorporating early 60’s rockers through to the later songs.  Be prepared for a great night;  and enjoy, 40 years on, a unique evening at the Boardwalk.

Rivers RutherfordTue 10th April at 7.30pm
Rivers Rutherford

At The Boardwalk,Snig Hill. Sheffield. S3 8NA
After moving to Nashville in 1993, Rivers quickly found his place in the world as an entertainer, studio guitar player and songwriter.  In 1996, Rivers signed with Universal Music Publishing and remains with the company today. Artists, including Gretchen Wilson, Gary Allan, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, LeAnn Rimes, Keith Urban, Trick Pony, Blake Shelton, Deana Carter, Montgomery Gentry, Clay Davidson, Jamie O'Neal and Andy Griggs have since recorded Rutherford's songs. Rutherford claimed his first number-one hit, "Ain't Nothing 'Bout You", in 2001. The song spent six weeks at number one and is to date the most successful single ever recorded by Brooks & Dunn. Rutherford was  honoured by ASCAP and received their Song of the Year Award in 2002. Since the smash hit with Brooks & Dunn, Rivers has accomplished six more number-one singles: Tim McGraw's "Real Good Man"; Montgomery Gentry's first number one, "If You Ever Stop Loving Me", which he also produced; Gretchen Wilson's "Homewrecker"; Brad Paisley's duet with Dolly Parton, "When I Get Where I'm Going" (which received both the ACM and CMA nomination for 2006 Song of the Year), Kenny Chesney's "Living In Fast Forward" and the current number one "Ladies Love Country Boys" Trace Adkins. Receiving ASCAP's Songwriter of the Year trophy for 2006, Rivers has expanded performing and recording while currently producing material for artists such as Montgomery Gentry and Cole Deggs.

The Bluetones

The Citadel, Waterloo St, St.Helens
This band go from strength to strength and are that rare thing - true musicians in a hyped-up world. They appeared as the Brit-pop thing was waning - which helped in getting their debut album 'Expecting To Fly' the top slot in the UK charts. Musically, they endorse a tight but lithe sound, with a nod towards psychedelia, that falls somewhere between The Stone Roses and Oasis.

The ZombiesFriday 27th April @ 8pm
The Zombies

Pacific Road, Birkenhead
Led by Rod Argent on piano and Colin Blunstone on vocals, the band scored hits in the mid-1960s with 'She's Not There', 'Tell Her No,' and 'Time of the Season.' Although they never rose to the prominence of other British invasion bands, The Zombies are a favourite of music critics for their complex musical arrangements and vocal harmonies. Their 1968 album Odessey and Oracle is now considered one of the best of its time. In 2006 the Zombies reformed and went on tour. Earlier in the year, one of the band's songs "This Will be Our Year," was featured in a Nike advertisement dedicated to Tiger Woods' late father.

Scottish six-piece making summery pop with attitude. When former Supernaturals frontman James McColl decided he wanted a new band, he scoured the open mic nights and independent venues of Glasgow, looking for fellow musicians to join him on his quest. The result was the sugary sweet, seriously melodic and aggresively tender The Hussys.
