The Inspiral Carpets are pleased to announce details of a show at Holmfirth Picturedrome prior to their York Apollo Festival festival headline slot, which will follows the release of their fifth studio album in October last year– their first for two decades.
Following a busy 2014 where the legendary Manchester band played the the Isle of Wight, T in The Park and another successful UK tour in December. In Jan 2014 the band signed to Cherry Red Records released their 5th studio album Inspiral Carpets – which was recorded at Airtight Studios in Manchester. Craig Gill: “We were busy gigging last year at the likes of T In The Park and the Isle of Wight, bedding a couple of those new tracks into our classical live set. The band are really gelling, we’re enjoying the moment.”
Stephen Holt: “We're really pleased to be playing Holmfirth. I’ve seen lots of bands there so it’s great to play on the same stage as some of my heroes. We’re on good form, all the oldies are in there as well as the top tracks off the new album, don’t miss out. Cool As x.”
Graham Lambert: “ Holmfirth is a classic venue, run with a real organic local feel. It’s a show in the middle of summer so I’m cycling from Saddleworth I’m trying to convince Craig and Stephen to join me”
Martyn Walsh: “Really excited about playing at The Picturedrome, its mental there, BRING IT ON!!”
Clint Boon: “Last year was our biggest year since 1994, T In The Park and Isle Of Wight festivals, gigs in Spain, Italy and a UK tour in December now we’re really looking forward to 2015. Happy days in Inspiral World xxx”
